14 More Militants Surrender Their Weapons at Yarmouk Camp; PLA Advances at Al-Tadamon
One week after 56 militants from Jabhat Al-Nusra surrendered themselves to the National Defense Forces (NDF) and the Palestine Liberation Army (PLA) at a checkpoint outside of Yarmouk Camp, another 14 of their fighters turned-in their weapons to the Syrian authorities in order to qualify for the amnesty program.
Meanwhile, east of Yarmouk Camp, the PLA and the “Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command” (PFLP-GC) continued to make advances in Al-Tadamon, capturing another three building blocks in the southern sector of this district before nightfall on Wednesday.
The Syrian Arab Army’s 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard (Harss Al-Jamhouri) engaged a Jaysh Al-Islam (Army of Islam) contingent near the Douma Gym, destroying two armed vehicles and killing nine of the enemy combatants at this rebel stronghold.
