300 factories re-operating in Aleppo industrial city
Normal life comes back gradually to the vivid industrial city of al-Sheikh Najjar in the northern province of Aleppo with more than 300 factories back to service despite the huge damageinflicted it due to terrorists’ strikes.
“Some 300 factories and plants are working completely or partially in view of the power supplies provided for operating them” Head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Fares al-Shihabi said, adding that the number of the factories to be operated, once electricity and diesel fuel are supplied, is expected to hit 600 during the upcoming year.
For his part, Director of al-Sheikh Najjar City, Mohammad Hendia stressed that the city administration has received about 2500 requests from industrialists for letting in raw materials and out industrialized items since the beginning of July. He added that 2,500,000 liters of diesel were distributed to operating factories.
Aleppo Governor Mohammad Marwan Ulabi clarified that the Governorate is providing facilities for factory owners such as power supplies, as it is also rehabilitating and maintaining the infrastructure of the city.
