Scores of Terrorists Killed by Syrian Army in Damascus Province
Dozens of militiamen have been killed or wounded in the ongoing heavy clashes between the Syrian Army and the terrorists groups in the nearby areas of Douma, in Damascus province, local sources confirmed.
The sources confirmed the army’s advances in Tal Kurdi-al-Rihan axis in the Northeastern parts of Douma city, saying at least 36 terrorists form Jeish al-Islam, Ajnad al-Sham and Al-Rahman Legion were killed in the army’s operations in the abovementioned battlefield.
The sources added that Ezz Eddin al-Said, Walid al-Omar, Mazen al-Nazzal, Fares al-Najjar, Mahmoud al-Duki were among the killed terrorists.
On Saturday, scores of terrorists, including foreign nationals, were killed in heavy clashes between the Syrian Army and the terrorist groups in Harasta area, in Damascus countryside.
A number of terrorists, including Abdelhadi al-Gherban from Jordan, Othman Ahmad Taher al-Nazir from Sudan, Nawaf al-Tabatbai’e from Kuwait, al-Sedeek al-Abadi from Libya, Samih Hammoudeh from Palestine, and Abdeljalil Bou Aouf, Abdullah al-Helwani, Haidar Badran, Ziyad al-Haboushi, Mohammad al-Dali, and Fayssal al-Rifa’i killed by the Syrian army men.
Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fuelled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 210,000 people, according to reports. New figures show that over 76,000 people, including thousands of children, lost their lives in Syria last year.
Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. According to reports, more than seven million Syrians have become internally displaced.
