Syrian Army, NDF Continue to Advance against ISIL East of Palmyra
The pro-government forces engaged in heavy fighting with the ISIL East of ancient city of Palmyra and entered the province’s oil-rich region.
The ISIL left behind scores of the dead and wounded member and fled the battlefield in the countryside of the energy-rich town of Arak.
Reports said earlier today that the Syrian fighter jets, in several combat flights, targeted the ISIL gatherings in the Northern and Eastern sides of Palmyra (Tadmur), pinning down the terrorists behind their positions.
The ISIL concentration centers near Palmyra, Jabal al-Khanazeir and Khneifis were massively attacked by the Syrian Army’s aircraft.
The ISIL suffered a heavy death toll and its military hardware and machinegun-equipped vehicles sustained major damage in the airstrikes.
