Syrian Army Seizes ISIL’s Arms Depot in Oilfield Southwest of Raqqa
The Syrian military troops, in a fresh round of mop up operation on the Southern side of al-Tabaqa airbase, discovered a large depot of ISIL arms and ammunition left behind by the Takfiri terrorists under the heavy attacks of the Syrian government forces in the recent days.
The Syrian soldiers found the ISIL depot of weapons and military equipment in Safiyeh oilfield.
Large number of mortar shells and large volume of other kinds of ammunition were in the discovered depot.
Reports said earlier today that the Syrian warplanes, in fresh series of heavy bombardments, targeted the ISIL defense lines and bases in different parts of Raqqa province, killing a number of militants and pinning the rest of them down behind their positions.
The Syrian Army aircraft bombed the ISIL gatherings and concentration centers in al-Mansoureh, the town of al-Tabaqa and al-Tabaqa airbase, which not only left at least 30 terrorists dead but destroyed their strongholds.
