SouthFront: Syrian Army gains important ground in the battle for Damascus
Yesterday, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) succeeded in capturing the town of Bahariyah, thus opening a new flank after rebel forces stiffened their defenses in the southern area of the East Ghouta. With prospects currently somewhat dire for government troops in Aleppo and Raqqa, SAA commanders seem determined to liberate the Syrian capital of Damascus once and for all.
