Muqtada Sadr Quds Day statement: We are ready for resistance against Zionist regime
Seyyed Muqtada al-Sadr, leader of Iraqi Sadr Movements, has issued a statement on Saturday for upcoming international Quds Day announcing his readiness to confront Israel and stressed had Saudi Arabia focused the coalition of 40 Islamic and Arab countries on liberation of Palestine all Muslim nations would have benefited the move, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
In the statement, read in Friday prayer sermons across Iraq, Palestine is dubbed as the wound of Arab and Islam.
He stressed,” Saudi scholars would have been better to call for confrontation with Zionist regime of Israel rather than issuing orders for assassination of people from other Islamic denominations or intensification of clashes between different schools of thought.”
Iraqi leader in his message has called all tribes and ethnicities in the Arab and Muslim world, Shia, Sunni, Kurd, Arab and non-Arab, to unite under the flag of Palestine.
He stressed,” I am ready for confrontation with our Zionist enemy and as we have stood against American occupying forces, we are maintaining our resistance with the new cover of terrorism in our country.”
Muqtada al Sadr slammed Iraq occupiers who have changed course to continue their occupation through traitors and their agents in Arab and Islamic countries, similar to the ongoing situation in Yemen, Syria and other war-torn Arab and Islamic countries.
The cleric reiterated that Palestine should remain as number one issue for the world of Islam because it is the first Qibla (praying direction) of Islam and cradle of future reforms in the world of Islam.
Iraqi religious leader stressed Arab and Islamic countries should resolve sectarian and ethnic disagreements and rise for their common objective, liberation of Palestine.
