Ansarullah Forces encircle strategic camp in Marib
The Houthi forces, backed by the Yemeni Republican Guard, reportedly encircled the strategic Kofal Military Camp in the Marib Governorate on Saturday.
Leveraging the Hadi loyalists poor defenses in west Marib, the Houthi forces and their allies captured a number of sites from the government, including a petrol station at the eastern outskirts of Kofal.
In addition to capturing the petrol station, the Houthi forces and their allies also advanced inside the Sirwah District of Marib, capturing Jabal Nazara from the Hadi loyalists after a violent engagement.
Since the exiled Yemeni president, ‘Abd Rubbah Mansour Hadi, visited the provincial capital of Marib, his forces have lost a great deal of territory to the Houthis.
Hadi promised to retake the Yemeni capital from the Houthis; however, since he fled, his forces have found themselves on the brink of defeat in the Nihm District.
