SAA Pushes Back Daesh Terrorists in Deir Ezzur, Gets Gains in Sweida
Syrian Armed Forces expels the Islamic State (ISIS, ISIL, IS and Daesh) from rural area of Tal Aliyat in northeast Al-Sweida and recover this large hilltop on Tuesday night.
A military source in Sweida City told Al-Masdar News on Wednesday morning that the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) received a major boost from the National Defense Forces (NDF), who travelled from the provincial capital to aid their comrades.
Following a six-hour long battle on Tuesday, the Islamic State terrorists were forced to retreat towards the Deir Ezzor border in order to avoid being overrun by the Syrian Armed Forces.
Aliyat Hill has now been fully secured by the Syrian Armed Forces; however, ISIS terrorists are likely to attack once again in the coming days, as they seek to build a buffer around the Deir Ezzor Governorate’s western border with Al-Sweida.
