Large Hezbollah convoy arrives in southern Aleppo
A large contingent of Hezbollah commandos reportedly arrived in Aleppo on Tuesday night after completing the arduous journey from the Qalamoun Mountains in rural Damascus.
According to a local military source inside Aleppo City, Hezbollah specifically sent veteran commandos to this volatile front in order to combat the large presence of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) jihadists that are preparing to storm the provincial capital.
Much of Hezbollah’s soldiers that participated in the recent southern Aleppo battle against Jaysh Al-Fateh were either Syrians from Al-Zahraa and Nubl or new recruits from Lebanon.
Several of the Hezbollah soldiers that arrived tonight in southern Aleppo are the same military personnel that participated in the successful Qalamoun/Zabadani offensive in the Summer of 2015.
On Tuesday, several pro-government activists reported the Syrian Army advanced in the southern Aleppo districts; however, these claims were later denied by the soldiers stationed inside the provincial capital.
