Saudi Regime should respect Iraqi Hajj pilgrims’: Senior Cleric
Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi underlined the dismissal of Iraqi Defence Minister Khalid al-Ubaydi would have no effect on the operation to liberate Mosul from the Daesh Takfiri forces stressing, “Regardless of political conflict, the country’s armed forces must pursue the military operations to liberate Mosul.”
“The government should begin the liberation of Mosul simultaneously with the necessary measures to accommodate nearly a million displaced people in Nineveh Governorate,”The senior Iraqi scholar added.
According to Rasa, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi called on the Saudi government to respect Iraqi Hajj pilgrims noting, “we have heard many criticisms against the Saudi government by many Iraqi pilgrims due to Saudi Arabia’s sabotage against Iraqi pilgrims entering Saudi Arabia by land or air as well as their unreasonable and inappropriate inspections under the pretext of having brought certain banned books and brochures into the country.”
Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi went on to highlight, “government should not allow Wahhabis and extremists to interfere in the Hajj and pilgrims’ affairs.”
