Ayatollah Jannati hails Najaf Seminary for serving humanity

Ayatollah Ali Jannati, the Secretary-General of Iranian Guardian Council, together with Ayatollah Husayni, the representative of Supreme Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in Iraq met with Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, a Shi’a source of emulation in Iraq.

During the meeting, Ayatollah al-Najafi highlighted the crucial role of the Islamic Seminary of Najaf in propagating Islamic teachings and added, “This great seminary has been passed on to us from Imam Ali’s period and later his pure children generation to generation. It preaches moral values such as friendship, generosity, brotherhood and avoiding violence.”

At the end of the meeting, Ayatollah Jannati and his accompanying delegation congratulated Ayatollah al-Najafi on the auspicious anniversary of Eid al-Ghadir and thanked him for his remarks.
