PM Abadi Says ISIL Eyes Gulf States, Stresses Turkey Withdrawal
Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi said on Monday that the army, security troops and Popular Mobilization Forces are achieving a remarkable progress in Mosul, adding that the major victory over ISIL terrorist group will be heralded during the few coming days.
In a press conference, Abadi reiterated his call on Turkey to withdraw its troops from Iraq, confirming that all the Iraqis are unified and ready to defend their country against ISIL and the Turkish military.
“If Turkey troops enter Iraq, they will not exit from it peacefully,” Abadi noted, “Popular Mobilization Forces are part of Iraq’s military system.”
The Iraqi leader warned the Gulf states and all those which do not take the necessary measures to cope with ISIL threat against the schemes of the terrorist group.
Saudi Arabia and all the Gulf states are ISIL’s favorite places, Iraq’s Prime Minister pointed out.
Iraqi forces have launched a campaign to retake Mosul, the self-declared capital of the ISIL Takfiri group, the prime minister had announced early Monday.
