The Syrian Army troops continued to advance against Terrorists in al-Qaboun district in Eastern Ghouta, taking control over a number of residential complexes.

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with terrorists in al-Qaboun district and managed to drive them out of 40 residential complexes.

In the meantime, the army’s missile units shelled heavily terrorists’ positions in al-Qaboun.

Local sources reported that the army units also seized control over a tunnel near power company in al-Qaboun, adding the tunnel that was named Rahma by terrorists was a road used by the militants to move between al-Qaboun and other regions in Eastern Ghouta.

The sources further added that the Syrian Air Force carried out several combat flights and targeted communication lines of Al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) between the town of Arbin and al-Qaboun.

Reports said earlier today that the army hit the positions of the terrorists in al-Qaboun district and managed to enter more regions, driving a wedge between the terrorists in the region.

The army soldiers stormed terrorists’ defense lines in the Northeastern outskirts of Damascus and pushed militants back from more positions in a region between Al-Qaboun district and Barzeh farms.

A military source reported that the army men, who entered a region known as Imam Hossein grand mosque, discovered a vast network of tunnels that were connected to the depth of Eastern Ghouta, adding that one of the tunnels was connected to the town of Arbin.

The source further added that the army’s advances in Imam Hossein grand mosque region enabled the pro-government forces to separate al-Qaboun district from Barzeh farms.
