Palestinian Prisoners Movement: Hunger strike to be escalated
The Palestinian Prisoners National Movement in Israeli jails said on Wednesday on the 10th day of the Freedom and Dignity hunger strike that the coming days will witness an escalation in the strike.
The Movement affirmed in a statement that the Israel Prison Service will succumb to the prisoners’ free will and determination to achieve their demands.
The Movement emphasized that all prisoners will be united against the Israeli jailers, sending a message to the striking prisoners saying, “We are all with you in actions not words.”
The statement pointed out that Israel promotes racist incitement against the prisoners and threatens them with further oppression and abuse.
The statement warned against circulating the rumors that Israel publishes in an attempt to undermine the popular support for the strike and create a state of confusion.
It also called for more support by the Palestinian people through the daily clashes with the Israeli occupation in all places, noting that every serious and comprehensive action would shorten the duration of the strike and send a clear message that the prisoners are not alone.
The statement concluded by calling upon the national and Islamic forces to launch a unified and comprehensive support program at the national and international levels, stressing that the coming days bear the promise of victory.
