Protecting Iran first priority: Presidential hopeful Raisi
Iranian people have managed to embrace success in an array of spheres and represent themselves as a victorious nation across the world, says presidential candidate Hojatolesla Ebrahim Raisi.
Appearing on the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Channel two television station Wednesday evening, Raisi said if he become a president he would do his best to protect the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“The first priority today is protecting Iran,” he said.
“An I will do my best to do it,” he added.
Raisi said that all the wealth in the country should be used to develop the nation.
“Top on my agenda is saving and reviving the climate of the country and doing something for the betterment of the country’s agricultural conditions,” he said.
The presidential hopeful also said that to protect the country, we need to bolster our military power.
“Protecting Iran should be the main slogan of all the officioals,” Raisi said.
“To do this we need a strong national will and consensus among all the officials,” he added.
Hojatoleslam Raisi then went on to pledge support for the Economy of Resistance as a good and appropriate method to address the country’s problems.
The policies and the guideline of the Economy of Resistance are good and quite appropriate while they tend not to bear results soon, he said.
But if the country manages to achieve the goals set by the Economy of Resistance, it is expected to prosper and see its incomes increasing.
The presidential hopeful also urged addressing other economic issues like employment, occupations, production, and services, describing them as vital for development of the country.
According to Iran’s Interior Ministry’s press release, Mostafa Aqa-Mirsalim, Es’haq Jahangiri, Hassan Rouhani, Ebrahim Raeisi, Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf, and Mostafa Hashemi-Taba are the 6 candidates who have been approved to run for the upcoming election.
The 12th presidential and the 5th City and Village Councils Elections will be simultaneously held nationwide on May 19.
