Syria’s Al-Jaafari: Turkish “Obstinate” Stance Blocked Agreement on De-escalation Zones
The head of the Syrian official delegation, Bashar Al-Jaafari, stressed on Wednesday that the “obstinate” Turkish stance prevented the various parties from implementing the agreement on the de-escalation zones, noting that Turkey has military ambitions in Mosul and Aleppo.
“We reject the Turkish military deployment in our territories.”
The Syrian official delegation met with the UN envoy for Syria Staffan De Mistura in the context of the fifth round of Astana talks.
