Syria: Douma hostages reunite with families after years of captivity
Terrorists of the Jaish al-Islam Takfiri group in the Eastern Ghouta town of Douma have released the first batch of abductees as part of a new evacuation deal with the Syrian government.
Under the deal, Jaish al-Islam terrorists would be disarmed and transported along with their families from Douma to the militant-held city of Jarablus. The Takfiri group would also free all those in its captivity.
The detainees were received in the al-Fayhaa Sports Complex, where those in the stands cried and attempted to make contact with their loved ones who had just arrived.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, up to eight thousand militants and about 40,000 members of their families are set to be evacuated.
