Iran vows to back Syria against any foreign military aggression
The senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, ‘Ali Akbar Velayati, stated on Wednesday that his country would fully back Syria against potential foreign military attack.
Velayati highlighted on his trip to Syria this week that Tehran-Damascus have close very close ties and will continue to cooperate with one another in the face of foreign aggressors.
“Coordination between Iran and Syria to combat threats and the warmongering of the Zionist regime, the US, and their regional allies is highly necessary,” Velayati stated, as quoted by IRIB.
“Definitely, this crime will not remain without a response,” Velayati added while visiting the East Ghouta region near the capital city of Damascus.
