Important highway near East Ghouta to be reopened
The imperative Damascus-Homs Highway is expected to be reopened soon, as the government finishes the repairs along this major roadway that is located near the East Ghouta region.
According to a local source in Damascus, the Damascus-Homs Highway is estimated to be reopened by the end of the month.
The source added that the repair phase of this highway has nearly concluded after more than three weeks of repairs.
The Damascus-Homs Highway has been closed near the capital city since late 2011; it was previously one of the most vital roadways in this part of the country.
