ISIL Suffers Major Defeat in Syrian Army’s Heavy Offensive in Southern Damascus
The ISIL found themselves on the run at several flanks in both Hajar al-Aswad and Yarmouk Camp following a heavy joint offensive of the Syrian Army and their Palestinian allies.
According to a military source in Damascus, the Syrian Army and their Palestinian allies are currently advancing at the Southeastern and Western directions of Hajar al-Aswad, along with the Western flank of the Yarmouk Camp.
In a similar development on Thursday, the army forces continued clashes with the ISIL militants in Southern Hajar al-Aswad, retaking control of the region’s cemetery and advancing towards the region’s stadium.
They also could advance from their positions in Monif al-Ma’adi Grand Mosque in Eastern Hajar al-Aswad towards Mesqal Hassan Barkah region.
Meantime, other army units advanced in Western Hajar al-Aswad, winning back control of Bilal Habashi Grand Mosque.
The army troops could isolate the terrorists in Yarmouk camp and Hajar al-Aswad after advancing in two fronts and meeting each other in Hajar al-Aswad’s square in the North.
