Syria: Hundreds of Terrorists to Leave Northern Homs Soon

 

A sum of 3,500 militants and their family members will soon leave Northern Homs for Northern Syria under an evacuation agreement with the Syrian Army, well-informed sources reported on Monday.

The sources said that several buses have entered the town of al-Rastan in Northern Homs to transfer the terrorists that have rejected the government’s peace offer.

The sources further said that the first group of terrorists and their families, whose total number stands at 3,500, will soon leave Northern Homs for Northern Syria, adding that evacuation of terrorists will continue till next week.

In the meantime, Syria’s state news agency, SANA, reported that terrorists, deployed in Northern Homs and Southern Hama, have handed over a large volume of arms and ammunition to the army under the evacuation plan.

The terrorists have handed over 10 military and armored vehicles and a large volume of ammunition, including rockets, mortar shells and artillery shells to the army.

On Saturday, evacuation of militants and their family members from Northern Homs to Northern Syria come to a halt after differences started among the terrorists.

Severe differences among terrorist groups in al-Houleh region in Northwestern Homs delayed their exit from the region.

Also, local sources reported that some terrorists, deployed in al-Houleh, embarked on targeting the Syrian Army soldiers by sniper-rifles and machineguns in an attempt to damage the newly-reached evacuation agreement, adding that the army avoided returning fire in order to keep the deal alive.

The sources went on to say that a large volume of heavy weapons and ammunition was handed over to the army in Dar al-Kabireh region.

They said that almost 250 members of  Tahrir al-Sham Hay’at (the Levant Liberation Board or the Al-Nusra Front) are planned to leave the region in a separate move soon.
