Hamas delegation back in Gaza following brief Cairo talk
A senior Hamas delegation returned to Cairo at nightfall Sunday following a short visit to Cairo.
A PIC news correspondent said a Hamas delegation headed by Ismail Haneyya returned to Gaza through the Rafah border-crossing. The delegation also included political bureau members Khalil al-Hayya and Rawhi Mushtaha.
The Hamas envoy offered condolences to the family of Jamal Afana, a Palestinian child from Rafah who was shot dead by Israeli snipers during the Great March of Return.
Following an invitation from senior Egyptian officials, senior Hamas leader left the blockaded Gaza Strip on Sunday morning for a short visit to Cairo, Hamas spokesperson, Fawzi Barhoum, said.
In a press release issued on Sunday, Barhoum added that the delegation headed by Hamas chief, Ismail Haneyya, will discuss the latest developments concerning Palestinian and regional matters.
