Syrian Army foils rebel attempt to smuggle arms into Idlib
Huge quantities of weapons and ammunition intended to be smuggled into the jihadist-held Idlib province were seized by the Syrian Army in north Homs countryside.
The smuggled weapons include assault rifles, machineguns, RPGs launchers, Fagot ATGM, Cobra Sam missile, mortar shells , B-9 rifles and big amount of Ammo and grenades.
The weapon cache, hidden in food trucks, was set to be transported to jihadi groups in the southern countryside of Idlib via local smuggles.
Once a key bastion for Syrian rebels, the entire north Homs countryside has fallen to the Syrian Army’s control under an evacuation deal concluded between the Syrian government and rebel fighters.
