Rafah crossing to be closed today

The administration of Rafah crossing announced on Monday evening that the border crossing with Egypt will be closed on Tuesday in both directions.

In a press release, the administration of Rafah called on the citizens to wait for a further notice without providing more details.

The Egyptian authorities have opened Rafah crossing for 71 days since the beginning of the year and closed it for 114 days, while thousands of Palestinians need to travel outside Gaza for urgent humanitarian reasons.
