Zionist minister says Iran-Syria deal crosses ‘red line’, Assad to bear the consequences
The zionist Intelligence Minister, Yisrael Katz, told the Israeli Public Broadcasting Authority on Wednesday that the recent military deal between the Syrian and Iranian governments crosses Israel’s “red line”.
According to Katz, the new deal is “crossing the red line we have set,” adding that Israel will not tolerate this.
“Israel will not allow Iran to settle in Syria. We will act with all our might against any Iranian position in Syria that threatens the State of Israel,” Katz continued.
The Israeli minister then told the IPBA that Assad “would bear the consequences immediately” for making such a deal with Iran.
The Iranian and Syrian governments recently signed a defense agreement during a meeting between the Iranian Defense Minister, Brigadier General Amir Hatami, and Syrian President, Bashar Al-Assad.
