Sayyed Sistani Calls for Exerting More Efforts to Liberate Turkmen and Yazidi women from ISIL
Top Shiite cleric in Iraq, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Sistani, received head of the United Nations-mandated inquiry for reinforcing accountability regarding ISIL crimes.
Ayatollah Sistani’s office issued a statement after the meeting, indicating that his eminence underlined the importance of exerting more efforts to liberate the Turkmen and Yazidi women from the captivity of the terrorist organization in Syria.
Sayyed Al-Sistani called for taking effective steps in order to redress the grievances of ISIL’s victims, especially the displaced and refugees.
Ayatollah Al-Sistani also recalled the victory achieved by the Iraqis over ISIL gangs.
