Zionist regime Concedes to Palestinian Resistance Demands: De-escalation in Al-Aqsa for Gaza Border Calm

The Zionist entity once again yields to conditions of the Palestinian resistance, media reported on Friday, clarifying that the Israeli occupation agreed to de-escalation at Al-Aqsa Mosque for the calm across the Gaza border.

Lebanese daily Al-Akhbar reported that following shuttle discussions conducted by mediators between the Hamas resistance movement and the Israeli enemy, the latter yielded to the demands of the Palestinians.”

The report noted that the Palestinian resistance called for de-escalation at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the return of previous so-called ‘understandings’ regarding the economic conditions in Gaza.

The author, Rajab Al-Madhoun, added that the youth in the besieged enclave will suspend the protests at the border with the occupied territories in return.

The Lebanese paper quoted sources as saying that the mediators included envoys from Qatar and Egypt, as well as Tor Wennesland, the UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East.

The Palestinian demands included doubling the number of Gaza workers allowed to work inside the occupied territories – they are estimated now to be at 17,500 – and increasing the value of the Qatari aid to include more than 100,000 citizens in coastal enclave, Al-Akhbar reported.

The occupation regime reportedly agreed to the demand of Hamas, which warned that the calm across the Gaza border “is subject to the implementation of the pledges made by the Israeli occupation to the mediators,” Al-Madhoun wrote, citing sources.

The report, meanwhile, pointed to the Israeli move to reopen the main crossing with the Gaza Strip on Thursday, following 11 days of closure.
