25,000 Palestinians perform Tarawih prayers at Aqsa Mosque
25,000 Palestinians performed on Monday the Isha and Tarawih prayers at the Aqsa Mosque on the eighth night of the holy month of Ramadan.
The Islamic Endowments Department in Occupied Jerusalem affirmed that 25,000 worshipers reached the holy site despite the Israeli restrictions imposed on their entry to the Old City of Jerusalem and the Aqsa Mosque.
Meanwhile, Palestinian youths were searched and abused in the Bab al-Asbat and Bab al-Majlis areas.
Since the start of the holy month of Ramadan, the Israeli authorities have imposed strict restrictions on worshipers’ access to the holy site.
Earlier Monday morning, 116 Jewish settlers stormed the Aqsa Mosque via the Israeli-controlled Maghariba Gate.
