Hamas’ Mashaal: Israeli Captives Won’t Be Released before End of War
Former Hamas politburo head Khaled Mashaal said that Israeli captives will remain captive until the Zionist entity halts hostilities, withdraws its troops from Gaza, allows displaced civilians to return to their homes, and ends a blockade on the Strip.
Speaking at a women’s event in Jordan, Mashaal stressed that the Palestinian resistance is fine, noting that Hamas is waging a “negotiating battle that is no less fierce” than its armed fight to achieve a halt of the Israeli aggression.
Meanwhile, the official hinted out at “threats” that are looming at the end of the holy Muslim month, according to a statement released by Hamas’ Telegram account.
Mashaal vowed that Hamas will keep on fighting on the ground, and urged Muslims around the world to support the struggle so that “their blood will mix with the blood of the people of Palestine.”
He also called for other forms of support to Palestinian people in Gaza, including financial donations.
Gaza has been since October 7 under brutal aggression by Israeli occupation. Health Ministry in Gaza announced on Wednesday that the number of martyrs since the start of the war approached 32,500.
There has been a new round of indirect talks between Hamas and the Zionist enemy in Doha.
