Hezbollah decimates Israeli military, espionage sites as retaliatory strikes continue apace

Lebanon’s Hezbollah resistance movement says it has targeted the Israeli military forces and equipment in the northern part of the occupied Palestinian territories during fresh pro-Palestinian operations.

The group announced carrying out two such operations in a statement on Friday.

Describing the first strike, the group said, “The fighters of the Islamic Resistance targeted espionage equipment in the newly-established center for war and reconnaissance crews in the Metulla settlement with guided missiles, hitting and destroying them directly.”

The second one saw the fighters “targeting a group of enemy soldiers while they were carrying out fortification and construction works around the Hanita site with rockets.”

The statement said the strikes took place “in support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and support of their brave and honorable resistance.”

The movement has been staging hundreds of such operations since October 7, when the Israeli regime began taking Gaza under a genocidal war that has so far claimed the lives of at least 38,345 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

The regime has responded by attacking areas lying across southern Lebanon, and threatening to turn the country into “another Gaza.”

Reacting to the threats on Wednesday, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said the movement was undaunted by the prospect of conflict with Israel.

The secretary-general of the Lebanese resistance movement pledged formidable retaliation in case of a potential assault by Israel.

He pledged formidable retaliation in case of a potential invasion of Lebanon by the regime.

“The resistance knows no fear of war, as is evidenced by its responses to infiltration operations reaching up to 30 kilometers deep into the occupied territories, targeting sensitive objectives, while the enemy’s responses are limited,” Nasrallah stated.

He was referring to several reconnaissance flights that the group has been conducting into those territories, using drones.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah says it has flown a drone over Israel for a reconnaissance mission, adding that it returned untouched after completing the mission “successfully”.

Hezbollah fought off two Israeli wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006, forcing a humiliating retreat upon the occupation’s military on both occasions.
