Palestinian media reported Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have surged in the past hours, with several strikes on Saturday targeting residential areas in Gaza City, Al-Bureij and in Khan Younis.
Civil Defense in Gaza reported that at least two people were martyred and one was injured by an Israeli attack on the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City in the northern Strip.
An Israeli attack on Al-Bureij killed at least three Palestinians and another on Khan Younis killing at least five people, Palestinian media reported.

For its part, the Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip has provided an update on casualties resulting from Israeli war on the enclave.
It said that the death toll of the Zionist aggression rose to 39,550 since October 7, adding that 91,280 people have been injured during the war.

Also on Saturday, Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad resistance group published a video showing resistance fighters destroying an Israeli vehicle in Gaza’s Khan Younis.
Slow Progress in Rafah
On the other hand, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) and the Critical Threats Project (CTP) said that the Israeli ground offensive in the southern city of Rafah has been “delayed for several weeks due to slow progress in degrading the Rafah Brigade”.
On Friday, Palestinian fighters launched at least 20 rockets towards southern Israel from an area between Rafah and Khan Younis where Israeli troops are currently operating, the US-based think tanks said.
