Leader commemorates Arba’een, affirms that the struggle against oppression continues
Imam Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stated that the struggle against oppression predates the time of Imam Hussein (AS). He also mentioned that this battle has manifested in various forms throughout different periods.
He delivered his comments at a Sunday ceremony where students were commemorating Arba’een, which marks the 40th day following the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), the third Shia Imam.
Ayatollah Khamenei commented that the struggle between the Husseini front, which opposes oppression, and the forces of injustice and tyranny, has been continuously ongoing.
“The conflict between the Hosseini faction and the Yazidi faction is unending,” he remarked.
The Leader also observed that these two opposing fronts have been present since before the time of Imam Hussain (AS) and continue to exist today, and it will stay that way.
“This conflict takes various shapes. During the age of swords and spears, it had one form. In the times of nuclear power and artificial intelligence, it takes on another. Yet, it persists,” he emphasized.
