Hezbollah’s Musical Band May Invade ‘israel’: Balance of Deterrence Maintained
It is not a matter of a mortal combat, yet that of accumulating triumphs till achieving the ultimate victory. This is the main strategy of Hezbollah in its fight against the Israeli enemy since the 80s of the past century.
Drawing comparisons between a resistance group and an occupation entity that is armed, funded, covered and supported by most of the world powers regarding the military capabilities is a trivial insanity.
However, when a wise and shrewd command command manages to utilize the available means in order to confront the enemy and prevent it from achieving its strategic targets, disparity of capabilities loses its functionality.
Accordingly, Hezbollah managed to confront the Zionist war on Lebanon in 2006 and frustrate all its goals. The Israeli firepower failed to defeat the well-trained and armed Resistance fighters.
In his speeches, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah has always maintained that the Islamic Resistance possesses all the military means needed to defeat the enemy, without claiming to have more capabilities than the Zionists.
Later on, Hezbollah developed its firepower, manpower, and tactics to the extent of becoming capable of starting a border battle in support of Gaza against the Israeli enemy since October 8, 2023.
Hezbollah battle frustrated a wicked scheme to launch an all out war on Lebanon and inflicted heavy losses upon the enemy troops, sites and settlements near Lebanon border.
Sayyed Nasrallah repeatedly affirmed that the zone of the military confrontation is set by the field conditions, warning that Hezbollah will expand the war zone whenever the enemy does.
Thus, when the Israeli enemy tried to change the rules of engagement, expand the war zone, and commit assassination attacks against the Islamic Resistance commanders, Hezbollah responded forcefully despite all the enemy threats.
Hezbollah response is, of course, determined and decided by the command, which takes into consideration maintaining the balance of deterrence without giving the enemy the chance to carry destructive and barbaric plots.
“Operation Arbaeen Day” was decided to be a mere response to the Zionist aggression on Beirut’s Dahiyeh on July 30, which led to the martyrdom of the Islamic Resistance Commander Sayyed Fuad Shokr and a number of civilians.
Thus, according to Sayyed Nasrallah, the operation was planned so that targets would not be civilians or enemy infrastructure, but rather military sites directly linked to the assassination operation.
In this case, Hezbollah responded to the Zionist crime without exposing Lebanon to the dangers of an all-out war.
Meanwhile, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that Hezbollah’s strategic military capabilities are still ready to be used in case of any future confrontation.
His eminence also warned the enemy that Lebanon is no longer weak and can no longer be subdued easily, there may come a day when we invade you with a musical band!” Referring to a famous statement in the 1970s by Israeli military leader Moshe Dayan, who said then that the musical band in the Israeli army can invade and occupy Lebanon.
