The Hamas Movement has expressed its condolences for the loss of Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburb of Beirut. Nasrallah, who fell in what Hamas termed the ‘Al-Aqsa Flood Battle,’ was honored by the organization as a martyr dedicated to the cause of Jerusalem.

On Saturday, Hamas issued a statement expressing condolences to the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon, the Palestinian people, the Arab and Islamic nations, and freedom advocates worldwide for the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Nasrallah, along with several of his leaders, was martyred during the Battle of Al-Aqsa Flood and on the path to Jerusalem, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their courageous resistance against the Zionist adversary.

Hamas has vehemently denounced the “barbaric Zionist aggression” and the assault on residential structures in Haret Hreik, located in the southern suburbs of Beirut. The organization labeled the incident as “a cowardly terrorist act, a massacre, and a heinous crime,” asserting that it underscores the “brutality of the Israeli occupation.”

Hamas honored Nasrallah’s legacy, emphasizing his life of profound sacrifices dedicated to the liberation of Jerusalem and the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque. They highlighted his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, commendable stances, and consistent backing of their resistance efforts and legitimate rights. Additionally, they noted his steadfast commitment to supporting the resistance during the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle, despite facing significant sacrifices and challenges.

Hamas has ascribed full responsibility to Israel and the U.S. administration for what it termed the “heinous assassination crime,” warning that this act could have grave consequences for the security and stability of the region.

Hamas has reiterated its unwavering solidarity with Hezbollah, emphasizing that the assassination of Nasrallah and other Israeli actions will only bolster the resilience and resolve of resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine. The organization affirmed that these acts of defiance will persist with courage, pride, and unwavering commitment to the legacy of fallen martyrs. Hamas declared its dedication to honoring their sacrifices, following their path, and maintaining a steadfast resistance until victory is achieved and occupation is defeated.
