U.S. warships and military bases are “within range,” IRGC warns

An advisor to the chief commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has issued a cautionary statement to the United States, advising against engaging in any "reckless actions" with respect to recent tensions.

Brigadier General Ebrahim Jabbari issued a strong warning to the United States, stating that if American forces ever engage militarily with Iran, U.S. bases, interests, and naval vessels would be vulnerable to Iranian weaponry.

“Our courageous and proficient forces are fully prepared to respond decisively to any unauthorized actions by the United States.”

According to Jabbari, it is improbable that Washington would engage in such an imprudent action.

Despite the United States’ support for Israel, it remains improbable that they would resort to the reckless step of entering into a confrontation with Iran. U.S. officials consistently counsel the Israeli government against provoking hostilities with the Islamic Republic.

Jabbari emphasized that the United States remains inadequately prepared to face challenges posed by the axis of resistance and the broader Muslim world.

In response to recent developments, the United States has confirmed the deployment of an American-operated anti-missile system to provide support to Israeli forces. This action follows criticisms regarding Israel’s defenses against potential threats from Iran.

Additionally, Jabbari highlighted that Israel has not succeeded in meeting its objectives in the regions of Gaza and Lebanon.

In reference to Israel’s recent actions against key leaders of Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement, Jabbari commented, “These assassinations are acts of desperation.”

“Hezbollah and Hamas remain resolute and capable despite such actions, which fail to weaken their determination and capacity.”

Since October 2023, Israel has engaged in military operations involving Lebanon, coinciding with its intensified actions in the Gaza Strip.

Hezbollah has initiated a series of retaliatory measures in response to recent hostilities, notably launching a hypersonic ballistic missile aimed at the occupied Palestinian territories.

Since late September, Israel has intensified its military operations against Hezbollah, resulting in the death of the group’s leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, along with several high-ranking members.

According to the health ministry’s latest report, Israeli fire has resulted in the deaths of at least 2,309 individuals, while over 10,782 have sustained injuries since hostilities erupted last year.

The Lebanese resistance movement has pledged to maintain its actions against Israel, contingent on the continuation of Israel’s military operations in Gaza. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 42,000 Palestinians, the majority being women and children.
