Hezbollah intercept Israeli Hermes 450, pound northern military sites

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon – Hezbollah launched a series of significant military operations targeting various Israeli positions and military infrastructure, inflicting heavy damage on Israeli forces and equipment. These operations unfolded across multiple fronts and showcased the ever-evolving rather than dwindling capabilities of the resistance movement.

The Resistance fighters conducted several rocket and missile strikes targeting key military sites and settlements in occupied northern Palestine, including the Zvulun military-industrial base north of Haifa, along with strikes on the Karmiel, Kiryat Shmona, and Manara settlements. The occupied cities of Safad and Nahariya also came under intense fire, with large salvos of rockets causing widespread damage. A logistics base belonging to the Northern Command, known as St. Jean, located between Nahariya and Akka, was also hit by a major rocket barrage.

In addition to these strategic strikes, the Islamic Resistance carried out multiple assaults on Israeli groupings. Artillery and rocket barrages targeted concentrations of Israeli forces in the Manara and Misgav Am settlements, as well as the al-Malikiyah military site. Resistance fighters further targeted Israeli soldiers in the Aitaroun area with a combination of rockets and artillery shells, and similar attacks were launched at enemy forces advancing at the Odaisseh – Roub al-Thalathin – Taybeh triangle.

In Aita al-Shaab, Resistance fighters destroyed two Merkava tanks with guided missiles and other “appropriate weapons,” setting the tanks on fire and causing casualties and injuries among their crews, as Israeli forces attempted to infiltrate Lebanese territory, with the Resistance responding decisively to halt their advance.

Hezbollah’s military media confirmed that Resistance fighters also engaged Israeli occupation forces at point-blank range in the Aita al-Shaab area, using machine guns and rockets to inflict heavy losses on the Israeli occupation forces. Despite efforts by the Israeli military to provide tank support, the Resistance fighters managed to destroy an advancing Merkava tank, further complicating the Israeli offensive.
