Zionist Regime Utilized US-Permitted Air Path Over Iraq for Strike on Iran, says Araqchi
Iran is reportedly urging Iraq to file a formal complaint with international organizations concerning the violation of its airspace. This move follows allegations that the United States facilitated an aerial corridor for Israeli warplanes, enabling them to conduct a recent strike on Iranian targets, according to Iran's foreign minister.
During a press briefing in Tehran on Wednesday, Abbas Araqchi disclosed that prior to the Israeli attack, he received assurances from top Iraqi officials during a trip to Baghdad. The officials guaranteed that Iraq would not permit its territory or airspace to be utilized for actions against Iran.
“There have been reports indicating the use of Iraq’s airspace for assaults on Iran. We are in communication with our Iraqi counterparts, urging them to file a complaint with international courts,” he stated.
Iranian official Araqchi condemned the deployment of the United States Air Force in the region, alleging that intelligence has been obtained suggesting Israeli fighter jets utilized a corridor facilitated by American forces to execute an operation targeting Iran.
The foreign minister announced that a formal complaint has been submitted to the United Nations and various other international organizations.
The Iranian Army has reported that four of its servicemen were killed in the early hours of October 26 during a confrontation involving projectiles launched by what it described as the “criminal Zionist regime.”
In a subsequent address, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, stressed the importance of challenging and disrupting the miscalculations held by the Zionist regime concerning Iran.
The Leader has expressed concerns that strategic errors are being made regarding Iran, stressing that it should be the responsibility of the nation’s officials to thoroughly evaluate the situation and take actions that align with the country’s and its people’s best interests. It is imperative, he emphasized, that external entities gain a true understanding of the Iranian populace and its youth.
