On Wednesday, the newly appointed Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, pledged that the “absolute victory” promised by Israeli Prime Minister would ultimately prove to be an “absolute defeat” for the Israelis.

In his inaugural televised address following his election as Secretary General, succeeding the late martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, Sheikh Qassem declared that Hezbollah stands fully prepared for a prolonged conflict. He confidently asserted that the Lebanese resistance group will emerge victorious and stronger in the aftermath of the war.

In a statement emphasizing the resilience of forces in Gaza and Lebanon, His Eminence characterized their efforts as monumental. He affirmed that Hezbollah remains steadfast in its stance, vowing not to seek a settlement and declaring that the conflict will conclude under the conditions set forth by the resistance.

In a statement broadcast on Al-Manar, Sheikh Qassem asserted that Israel would not succeed in imposing its conditions.

Following the setbacks Hezbollah endured since the pager attacks on September 17, and the subsequent assassination of its senior leadership, including former Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, the organization has managed to recover and regain its strength, a spokesperson stated.

“Significant Obligation”

Sheikh Qassem commenced his address with expressions of mourning for Sayyed Hashem Safeiddine, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council, and Yahya Sinwar, a leader within Hamas.

“Sayyed Safeiddine was a key figure who commanded the trust and reliance of the late Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, marking his prominence in the leadership circle.”

Sheikh Qassem praised Sinwar as a symbol of heroism and resistance, recognizing him as a revered figure both for Palestine and for advocates of freedom worldwide. Describing him as a source of intimidation to his adversaries during his imprisonment and subsequent liberation, Qassem emphasized that Sinwar’s influence would persist even after his martyrdom.

He expressed his gratitude to Hezbollah’s leadership and the Shoura Council for their confidence in selecting him to undertake this significant responsibility.

Sheikh Qassem stated that this responsibility reflects the will and legacy of the late Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and other high-ranking leaders who have been martyred.

He pledged that, under his leadership, Hezbollah will persist in adhering to the path established by the martyr Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah.

**”International Conflict”**

He stated that backing Gaza is essential to counter the Israeli plan that poses a threat to regional stability.

Sheikh Qassem asserted that the Israeli state has a long history of initiating hostilities in the region, stating it has been doing so for 75 years without needing a pretext. He emphasized that through resistance efforts, there is potential to thwart Israel’s plans.

He characterized the ongoing conflict as a worldwide engagement orchestrated by Israel, the United States, and various Western nations.

In a recent address, his eminence declared that the conflict utilizes every available capability in a manner that is unrelentingly brutal.

He praised the unwavering determination of the forces in Gaza and Lebanon, asserting that these acts of resistance are pivotal in shaping the future of coming generations.

**”Clash of Titans”**

In recent remarks, Hezbollah’s newly appointed Secretary-General emphasized that the Lebanese resistance group operates independently and does not engage in conflicts on behalf of any external entities within the region.

The spokesperson for the project stated, “Our mission is focused on defending our homeland and extending support to Gaza. While Iran solely backs the resistance, we are open to assistance from any Arab nation.”

Conversely, Sheikh Qassem asserted that although Hezbollah has endured significant setbacks, the organization has demonstrated resilience and recovery. He confirmed that the Lebanese resistance group is thoroughly prepared for a protracted conflict.

A recent statement suggests that if any military force had been the target of the pager attack, it may have resulted in their collapse, highlighting the considerable capabilities of Hezbollah, which are reportedly well-suited for protracted conflict.

The Israeli forces have acknowledged their challenges in countering Hezbollah’s deployment of drones and rockets. They emphasized that their operations are conducted according to a meticulously planned strategic program.

Sheikh Qassem has asserted that the resistance’s capacity to establish rocket launch systems amidst ongoing Israeli airstrikes is remarkable. He further emphasized that Hezbollah forces are “fighting with honor.”

The leadership of Hezbollah has formally designated the conflict as the “Battle of Mighty Warriors,” according to statements from the group’s officials.

**“Ultimate Triumph Achieved”**

In a recent statement directed towards Israel, Sheikh Qassem asserted that Israeli forces would inevitably face defeat, emphasizing that the territory belongs to them and highlighting the unity among their people. He urged Israeli withdrawal to minimize their losses, warning that failure to do so could result in unprecedented consequences.

Hezbollah leader pledged that the group will come out of the confrontation “stronger and victorious,” asserting that “the final victory is ours.”

Hamas has issued a strong rebuttal to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s declaration of “absolute victory,” asserting their commitment to ensuring his ambitions lead to an “absolute defeat.”

Sheikh Qassem concluded his address by invoking a quote from the late Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah, stating, “The era of defeats has ended; it is now the era of victories.”
