Gazan paramedic tragically discovers he is transporting the body of his own mother, a victim of zionist airstrike

Abed Bardini was among the emergency responders in one of the two ambulances sent to the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, which came under assault by Israeli forces on Wednesday. According to Palestinian health authorities, the attack resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left at least ten others injured.

Bardini, overcome with emotion, tearfully exclaimed, “I swear, she’s my mother! I didn’t know it was her,” while holding his mother, Samira, close. The poignant scene unfolded as colleagues from the Red Crescent sought to comfort him amidst the tragic circumstances.

In a harrowing scene, Bardini found herself seated in an ambulance next to a body shrouded in a blood-stained white sheet. As the emergency vehicle navigated the shattered roads, it made its way to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

Upon reaching the medical facility, he proceeded to unload the stretcher, shielding his eyes from the glare of the late afternoon sun as he maneuvered the body through the hospital courtyard.

Hospital personnel carefully removed the blanket to assess Samira’s condition for any signs of life, during which Bardini’s composure faltered. Subsequently, he was seen seated in the morgue, his head in his hands, mourning beside the body of her mother.

Members of the Red Crescent, including Bardini, conducted a funeral prayer for their colleague in a parking lot. Following the prayer, Bardini played an active role in transferring the body into an ambulance for the subsequent burial.

On October 7, 2023, Israel launched a significant offensive on Gaza following a major operation by Hamas-led resistance groups. This move was reportedly in response to what these groups described as Israel’s escalating actions against the Palestinian population.

As of now, the occupying forces have reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 43,163 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and have left 101,510 others injured in the embattled region of Gaza.

Israel has been accused of intentionally striking structures, including buildings and tents, that are sheltering displaced Palestinians, actions that have been characterized as potential war crimes.
