Sheikh Qassem asserts that Hezbollah is poised to thwart ‘israel’s’ “major scheme” in the region
The newly-appointed leader of the Lebanese Resistance movement, Hezbollah, stated that the organization remains committed to combating what it perceives as the Israeli regime's agenda against the entire region.
Sheikh Naim Qassem has issued a warning, suggesting that the regime, along with its Western and European supporters, is actively involved in a “significant plan” aimed at asserting control over the region.
In his inaugural televised address on Wednesday, he informed the audience of his practical plan to further the initiatives set forth by the late leader, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
In a statement underscoring their commitment to strategic objectives, officials affirmed their dedication to the military strategy outlined by Sayyed Nasrallah, indicating that they will persist in their wartime efforts while adhering to designated political guidelines.
The secretary-general of Hezbollah highlighted the critical importance of supporting Gaza in order to address the threat posed by the Zionist regime to regional stability.
Hezbollah was established in 1982 with the aim of resisting Israeli occupation and countering its expansionist ambitions, as well as to reclaim occupied territories, according to a statement by Qassem.
He additionally responded to allegations suggesting that the Resistance movements in Gaza and Lebanon instigated Israeli hostilities. He called on the public to remember 75 years of Israeli actions and emphasized the significance of the Resistance in the liberation of Lebanon from occupation.
Critics contend that Israel’s actions may have been provoked, but questions arise as to whether such justification is necessary. Observers point to a 75-year history involving the deaths and displacement of Palestinians, the appropriation of land, violations of sacred sites, and instances of mass violence.
“The Resistance, in collaboration with the army and the populace, was instrumental in driving Israel from our territory in the past,” he stated. “It was not the international resolutions that expelled Israel, but the efforts of the Resistance.”
Major Challenges Confront Opposition Movement’s Initiative
Sheikh Qassem has highlighted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, at the outset of Israel’s military actions against Lebanon, articulated the campaign’s broader objective of establishing a “New Middle East.”
A senior official has characterized the ongoing conflict as a major regional effort, emphasizing that the battle extends beyond Lebanon and Gaza. According to the official, it is a global struggle against the Resistance.
“This conflict involving Zionist forces is characterized by its ties to American, European, and broader international interests, aiming to suppress resistance movements within the region.”
“Amidst the ongoing aggression, a variety of brutal and deadly tactics are being employed to further their agenda. It is imperative that we take a stance and actively counter this rather than remain passive observers.”
The leader of Hezbollah has stated that the ongoing confrontation has undermined Western values due to their perceived bias in favor of Israel’s actions, which he described as barbaric.
“Experts predict regional dynamics will be significantly influenced by ongoing resistance efforts.”
The leader of Hezbollah underscored the role of the Resistance in the region as a key force striving for a future marked by dignity and honor.
The enduring resilience demonstrated by the Resistance in Gaza and Lebanon stands as a remarkable testament to dignity, poised to shape the future of upcoming generations.
Sheikh Qassem has articulated that Hezbollah’s actions are not in service of any external entity, but rather are part of its efforts to protect Lebanon’s sovereignty.
A spokesperson declared that their primary mission is the protection of their homeland and national defense, asserting a stance of independence by stating that they neither engage in combat for others nor rely on external forces to fight for them.
Sheikh Qassem commended Iran for its unwavering support of the Lebanese Resistance, emphasizing that Tehran has never demanded anything in return for its assistance.
He stated that Iran is fully aware of the consequences it faces for its backing of Resistance efforts, yet it has supplied unparalleled support, particularly through the contributions of the late General Soleimani.
“We are committed to defending and reclaiming our homeland. Our actions are autonomous, without external demands or impositions.”
**Sinwar Celebrated as Symbol of Heroism**
Sheikh Qassem expressed his gratitude to Hezbollah’s executive council for selecting him as the leader of the movement, interpreting the decision as a testament to their confidence in his leadership.
Trust in the movement is deeply anchored in the words of Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi, Hezbollah’s inaugural leader, who stated, “The paramount directive is the maintenance of resistance.”
The statement underscores the influential trust placed in Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, drawing a poignant parallel to his remarks following the martyrdom of Sayyed Abbas al-Musawi. Nasrallah noted that adversaries aimed to demoralize the Resistance and erode their resolve by targeting their leader. However, al-Musawi’s sacrifice only served to invigorate their determination and fuel their enduring spirit of Resistance.
In a recent address, Sheikh Qassem extended condolences following the martyrdom of Sayyed Hashem Saffieddine, the head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council. Sheikh Qassem lauded Sayyed Saffieddine as a “systematic leader” with a strategic vision who diligently supported front-line fighters and ensured the fulfillment of operational requirements.
“He was a key figure frequently relied upon by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.”
Sheikh Qassem extended his condolences on the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, praising him as a “symbol of heroism and resistance” for Palestine and advocates of freedom globally.
“He was honored for his unwavering bravery and steadfastness in battle, remembered for his loyalty, integrity, dignity, and commitment to freedom until his final breath.”
In a statement directed at Nasrallah, Sheikh Qassem expressed high praise, describing him as a steadfast symbol of the triumphant Resistance, revered by fighters, a beacon of hope, a harbinger of victory, and deeply esteemed by all who yearn for a life of dignity.
**”Hezbollah Emerges as Dominant Force”**
Sheikh Qassem addressed the continued conflict with Israeli forces, asserting that the Resistance movement has overcome the impact of the regime’s assassination of its leaders.
“Hezbollah has demonstrated its ability to recover from recent assaults, showcasing its resilience and significant organizational capacity as a large and unified entity.”
Hezbollah has consistently bolstered its strength over the years, acquiring increased experience and amassing the essential capabilities required for extended engagements on the battlefield, according to statements from officials.
Sheikh Qassem declared that the frontline combatants are driven by unwavering faith and courage, making any advance against them impossible. He highlighted that the confrontations are primarily occurring in border regions, while noting that the adversary is exhibiting fear, frequently altering its statements and objectives.
“The fighters on the front lines have been equipped with all necessary capabilities, demonstrating resilience and proficiency in their duties.”
The Resistance’s operations room has meticulously recorded the adversary’s casualties, focusing on those at the frontline. Our steadfast resistance is hailed as legendary, serving as a powerful example for future generations seeking freedom.
The Secretary-General of Hezbollah has stated that the occupying forces have acknowledged their inability to effectively counter the threat posed by missiles and drones.
He described the Resistance’s capacity to establish platforms in the face of relentless airstrikes as remarkable.
Qassem has stated that Hezbollah focuses its operations on military bases and personnel, whereas the Israeli forces, which he refers to as the Zionist regime, are accused of targeting civilians with the aim of undermining Hezbollah and causing distress among the Lebanese population. He emphasized, “The enemy must understand that attacking our villages and cities will not force us to back down.”
Sheikh Qassem has stated that recent military actions underscore the determination of the Resistance, highlighting a recent drone strike targeting the residence of Benjamin Netanyahu and an assault on the Benyamina base. These operations reportedly led to significant casualties among Zionist forces, including deaths and injuries.
He issued a stern warning, asserting that the territory belongs to them and emphasizing the unity of their people. “Withdraw from our land to minimize your losses, or you will face an unparalleled consequence,” he cautioned.
“We achieved victory in July 2006, and we are confident that we will succeed once again, continuing to grow stronger and increasing our influence.”
The leader of Hezbollah has issued a stern warning to American diplomats stationed in Lebanon, asserting that the Resistance’s downfall will remain a figment of their imagination, even in their dreams.
“The party is poised to emerge from this confrontation both strengthened and triumphant.”
“The adversary may find time slipping out of its favor due to significant losses, ultimately compelling a halt to its aggressive actions.”
Sheikh Qassem stated that for hostilities to cease, the adversary must agree to Hezbollah’s stipulated ceasefire conditions. He emphasized that any resolution will be sought through indirect negotiations.
