Victory Belongs to Lebanon: IRGC Commander

Hailing the strong bonds between Iran and Lebanon, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami expressed confidence that the Lebanese nation will emerge victorious against the Israeli regime.

The IRGC commander on Monday held separate meetings with the family of Masoumeh Karbasi and her Lebanese husband, Dr. Reza Awadeh, and also the family of Iranian physician Dr. Ali Heidari, who were martyred in Israeli strikes in Lebanon last month.

Paying tribute to the late figures, Major General Salami said their martyrdom was truly magnificent because it has bound Iran and Lebanon together.

He noted that “new history” is being shaped by the perseverance of those martyrs and the resistance front’s combatants.

Praising the Lebanese Hezbollah’s fighters for their “Ashura-style” battle against the Zionist regime, the IRGC commander said the Lebanese people have stood firmly against the wicked Zionist regime and “victory certainly belongs to the Lebanese nation”.
