Sayyed Al Houthi: Gaza serves as a “testing ground” for weapons deemed illegal by both US-‘israel’
The head of Yemen's Ansarullah resistance movement has alleged that Israel and its primary ally, the United States, have used the blockaded Gaza Strip as a "testing ground" for weapons that are banned under international law.
In a televised address on Thursday, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi claimed that Israeli forces have initiated the use of newly acquired American weaponry against residents of the Gaza Strip, alleging that these arms have the capability to disintegrate human bodies.
He emphasized that Washington employs both direct and proxy conflicts in Arab and Muslim nations as a means to test its banned weaponry and evaluate their efficacy in causing large-scale human casualties.
In a statement addressing the ongoing situation in the occupied West Bank, Houthi highlighted that the actions of the Israeli forces against Palestinians serve as evidence that the regime is targeting the entire Palestinian population indiscriminately.
Israel has intensified its military operations against Palestinians in the West Bank following the commencement of hostilities in Gaza in October 2023. These actions have reportedly resulted in the deaths of at least 730 Palestinians and the detainment of over 11,900 individuals.
On October 7, 2023, Israel initiated military operations in Gaza following a surprise offensive by the Palestinian group Hamas, known as Operation al-Aqsa Flood. This escalation came in response to Israel’s prolonged campaign of violence and destruction against the Palestinian population, according to Hamas.
The ongoing offensive by the regime in Gaza has resulted in the deaths of at least 44,580 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and has left more than 105,739 individuals injured. Additionally, thousands remain unaccounted for and are feared to be trapped under the debris.
Houthi has asserted that the “gravest and most concerning” transgression by Israel against Islamic holy sites is the desecration of the Holy Qur’an. He emphasized that these violations are “systematic, documented, and orchestrated,” with alleged backing from the United States.
“The United States plays a significant role in relation to Zionism.”
He criticized certain Arab governments for their inaction regarding Israeli actions and for their support of Tel Aviv.
In light of recent statements, data released by Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics indicates a significant rise in exports from Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Jordan to Israel, when compared to figures from the previous year.
The leader of Ansarullah reaffirmed the commitment of the resistance alliance, which encompasses Iran, Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, to persist in their support for the oppressed populations in Palestine.
Since the commencement of hostilities in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, designated by Israel as military operations, Yemeni forces have conducted numerous actions purportedly in support of Gazans affected by the conflict. These operations have included strikes on various targets within the occupied Palestinian territories and have extended to targeting Israeli maritime vessels en route to ports in these areas.
