Hezbollah reaffirms its commitment to supporting Syria in thwarting terrorist objectives

The Secretary General of Hezbollah emphasized the group's endorsement of Syria's efforts to thwart Israeli and terrorist objectives within the nation. He further articulated that these efforts are part of a coordinated Western-Israeli strategy aimed at steering Syria away from its pro-Resistance position.

In a televised address on Thursday, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem, proclaimed that the Lebanese population has endured 64 days marked by “sacrifices, pain, martyrs, and wounded through patience, steadfastness, and reliance on God.”

Sheikh Qassem identified three pivotal elements attributed to divine support in securing the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon’s success during the conflict. Foremost among these, he highlighted the role of the Resistance fighters, who demonstrated unwavering dedication and resilience, ultimately laying down their lives on the battlefield.

The second influential factor, he underscored, is the sacrifice of the martyrs, prominently led by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, whose “martyrdom has inspired fighters to persist in their efforts.”

Sheikh Qassem concluded by asserting that the Resistance’s regaining of control and leadership in the conflict played a vital role in the effective management of the “People of Might.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem emphasized that Hezbollah remains committed to resilience and is poised for greater prominence in the future.

He highlighted that Hezbollah has consented to the ceasefire agreement, underlining its role as an implementation mechanism for Resolution 1701.

“The agreement we have reached specifically concerns the area south of the Litani River,” he stated, noting that other issues outlined in Resolution 1701 possess their own distinct mechanisms. These mechanisms include a timeline for the restoration of Lebanon’s borders.

The Secretary-General emphasized that Israel committed 60 breaches of the ceasefire, attributing responsibility to the Lebanese government to address these infractions with the agreement’s oversight committee.

Hezbollah has announced its intention to assess the ongoing crises and conflicts, aiming to glean valuable insights from its experiences to foster advancements across various domains. The organization emphasized that its relationship with the Lebanese interior and the Army is independent of any influence from Israel.

In a recent address to those displaced by the war in Lebanon, Sheikh Qassem conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for their sacrifices. He also offered gratitude to those who provided refuge, lauding their efforts as an “exemplary model of citizenship in Lebanon.”

Sheikh Qassem stated that, in response to the issue of displacement, efforts have been undertaken to alleviate the hardships faced by affected families. This has been achieved through the distribution of material assistance via volunteer committees, even amidst challenging conditions.

Regarding the reconstruction efforts, it was stated that the forthcoming phase, focused on housing and rebuilding, aligns with a pledge made by Sayyed Nasrallah. This commitment will be honored, leading to the decision to name the initiative ‘Promise and Commitment.’

In light of the recent tensions in Syria, Sheikh Qassem has stated that the aggressive actions in the region are “supported by the United States and Israel as a result of their inability to assert control in Gaza and unsuccessful efforts to marginalize Syria.”

In a recent statement, Hezbollah leader pledged unwavering support to Syria, affirming the group’s commitment to aiding the country in countering and thwarting external aggression.

In a pointed message to Arab nations, he emphasized that any victory achieved by Israel represents a setback not only for Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon but also carries significant implications for the broader Arab region.

He stated that terrorist organizations aim to shift Syria’s position, currently aligned with the Resistance, to one that benefits the Israeli occupation.
