Nasiruddin calls on Muslims to amplify their presence at the Aqsa Mosque
Senior Hamas official Haroun Nasiruddin has appealed to Muslim worshipers to increase their presence at the Aqsa Mosque, urging them to safeguard it from perceived attempts at Judaization and desecration.
A prominent Hamas official, Haroun Nasiruddin, has urged Muslim worshipers to increase their presence at the Aqsa Mosque in order to safeguard it from perceived threats of Judaization and desecration.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Nasiruddin underscored the importance of a strong Muslim presence at the Aqsa Mosque, amid ongoing infractions by the Israeli occupation and settlers against the revered site and the city of Jerusalem.
Nasiruddin has issued a strong condemnation following the recent desecration incident at the Aqsa Mosque involving far-right Israeli Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and several settler groups.
Nasiruddin has accused authorities of exploiting the Jewish holiday to establish new realities at the Aqsa Mosque and within Jerusalem. He claims this move is intended to bolster settlement expansion in the city, advance efforts to Judaize the area, and assert comprehensive control over the Mosque.
A Hamas official asserted that the Aqsa Mosque holds significant religious importance and emphasized the determination of the Palestinian people to thwart any attempts by occupying forces to compromise its sanctity. He stated that they are committed to defending and safeguarding the mosque against any perceived threats.
