Pezeshkian affirms commitment to advancing Gen. Soleimani’s legacy with strength and determination
President Massoud Pezeshkian has declared that the Islamic Republic is committed to perpetuating the legacy of the esteemed anti-terror strategist, General Qassem Soleimani, by employing its full capabilities and resources.
During a ceremony in Tehran on Thursday marking the fifth anniversary of Gen. Soleimani’s martyrdom, Pezeshkian declared a resolute commitment to upholding the truth and maintaining steadfastness in their course, vowing to decisively confront adversaries.
He affirmed their commitment to upholding Martyr Soleimani’s legacy, vowing to steadfastly resist oppression for as long as they live.
The president stated that General Soleimani’s sacrifice serves as a rebuke to the oppressors and their actions.
The statement suggests that the individual should have become a martyr, highlighting perceived hypocrisy from the United States, Israel, and Europe in their purported commitment to humanity and human rights. The speaker accused these entities of duplicity in their advocacy.
He stated, “They are indeed the adversaries of humanity. Their barbaric actions and the crimes they commit are clearly evident.”
Pezeshkian stated that Gen. Soleimani’s primary objective and focus were centered around fostering unity and solidarity within the Islamic Ummah.
The president remarked that the senior military commander demonstrated unwavering dedication, tirelessly serving around the clock in defense of the oppressed, regardless of their religious affiliation, across regions such as Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and beyond.
The president addressed the attempts by adversaries to sow discord in Iran, with assistance from certain anti-revolutionary factions, in order to advance their schemes within the nation.
He stated that thwarting their conspiracies and sinister plans would be possible with the support of all Iranians.
Pezeshkian emphasized that establishing unity begins with adherence to and support for the directives of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, before addressing the challenges faced by the Iranian populace.
