Senior official states Hezbollah at its strongest yet, fully prepared to face any challenges

A high-ranking official from Hezbollah has announced that the Lebanese resistance group has reached unprecedented levels of strength, a claim that, according to the official, has been directly observed by Israeli forces.

Highlighting the strength and resilience of Hezbollah, Wafiq Safa, the leader of the Coordination and Liaison Unit within the organization, asserted on Sunday that the group has become not only more robust but also more resolute than steel.

In a recent statement, a Hezbollah representative emphasized the organization’s readiness to confront any challenges, affirming its unwavering commitment to upholding the morale of the Lebanese nation.

He provided reassurances, stating that there is no cause for alarm regarding the ongoing developments in Lebanon and other parts of the West Asia region.

In an effort to prevent a power vacuum and stabilize Lebanon’s political environment through the election of a new head of state, Safa emphasized that Hezbollah does not oppose the nomination of the army commander for the presidency.

He emphasized that Hezbollah’s capabilities have been rejuvenated and the group is prepared to respond to any aggression in a manner it considers appropriate.

Safa announced that Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker, Nabih Berri, is scheduled to engage in discussions with U.S. envoy Amos Hochstein regarding Israeli infractions.

Israel agreed to a ceasefire with Hezbollah after enduring significant losses over nearly 14 months of conflict, during which it was unable to meet its objectives in its military campaign against Lebanon.

A ceasefire agreement was enacted on November 27, initiating a 60-day period aimed at negotiating a permanent end to the conflict.

Under the terms of the agreement, an international monitoring committee, led by the United States, has been assigned the responsibility of supervising the enforcement of the ceasefire.

Hezbollah has reaffirmed the full strength of its capabilities, cautioning that it is prepared to take decisive action against Israeli forces currently occupying Lebanon after the ceasefire ends.

Mahmoud Qamati, the deputy head of Hezbollah’s political council, recently stated in an interview with the al-Manar network that the organization’s arsenal of missiles and operational capabilities remain undamaged. He emphasized that their missile attacks against Israel persisted until the ceasefire was implemented.

In a recent statement, Qamati clarified that the ongoing restraint demonstrated by the resistance is a strategic measure aimed at aiding the Lebanese populace and fulfilling promises made to intermediaries amid ceasefire discussions. This approach aims to facilitate the resolution of lingering disputes.

Berri has urged the Israeli government to comply with the terms of the ceasefire agreement.

In October 2023, Hezbollah initiated a support front for Palestinians in Gaza, one day following Israel’s comprehensive military operation in the region. The group launched a series of counterattacks targeting Israeli positions in the occupied territories.
