IRGC: Hamas emerged more resilient than before
A high-ranking Iranian military official has stated that the Israeli government agreed to a ceasefire with Hamas under pressure. He emphasized that the Palestinian resistance group, based in Gaza, remains resolute and is poised to pursue its objectives with increased vigor.
Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Cultural and Software Affairs, declared on Monday that despite the intense conflict and actions by Israeli forces in Gaza, Hamas demonstrated resilience and emerged triumphant in the confrontation.
He stated that the Israeli administration conceded to a ceasefire only after facing setbacks on the battlefield.
On Wednesday, Israel reached a compelled agreement with Hamas for a ceasefire, which had been eagerly anticipated. The terms of the ceasefire officially commenced on Sunday, albeit following a delay of almost three hours.
In the initial phase of the ceasefire agreement, Israel has released 90 Palestinian detainees, following the release of three Israeli captives by Hamas on Monday.
Shekarchi stated that Palestinian resistance forces have significantly strengthened since the initiation of Operation al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023. This operation was launched by Palestinian fighters as a reaction to the Israeli regime’s heightened aggression against Palestinians.
