Iran’s Foreign Minister Engages in Discussions with Hamas Leaders in Qatar

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, held discussions in Doha with Muhammad Ismail Darwish, the head of Hamas’ Shura Council, which is the movement’s highest governing body. The meeting also included members of the council and representatives from Hamas’ Political Office.

Prior to the meeting, Araghchi engaged in discussions with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Jassim Al Thani in Doha.

During a meeting with the Qatari Prime Minister, Iran’s Foreign Minister engaged in discussions centered on regional developments and the enhancement of bilateral relations.

The itinerary for the visit includes high-level meetings with senior Hamas officials, an assessment of the latest developments in Palestine, and extending congratulations to the Palestinian populace for their enduring 16-month resistance, dubbed the Al-Aqsa Storm.
