Hamas asserts that resistance efforts will continue in the occupied West Bank

Hamas, the Palestinian Resistance Movement, has asserted that the current surge of resistance activities in the occupied West Bank will persist, stating that the Israeli regime's attempts to enforce annexation and displacement strategies will ultimately lead to its failure.

In response to Israeli drone strikes in the West Bank city of Jenin and the nearby town of Qabatiya, Hamas issued a statement early Sunday condemning the attacks.

The movement has stated that “the occupying Zionist regime is intensifying its violent actions against our children,” citing recent assaults as evidence of the regime’s aggressive strategies and its unsuccessful efforts to suppress the rising Palestinian resistance.

In a recent statement, Hamas has declared that the persistent violence, marked by the assassination of Resistance leaders and severe attacks in the West Bank, will not deter the ongoing wave of resistance. The group emphasized that the determination of the Palestinian people remains unshaken and that they remain resolute in their confrontation efforts until their territory is freed from occupation.

The Israeli military conducted separate drone strikes in the northern West Bank towns of Jenin and Qabatiya on Saturday night, resulting in the deaths of at least five Palestinians, including a minor.

Since the onset of the Gaza conflict in early October 2023, the Israeli government has escalated its operations in the West Bank, primarily focusing on the city of Jenin and its surrounding regions. These areas have seen significant resistance from Palestinian groups in response to the intensified Israeli actions.
